TIMco - Meet the Supplier

TIMco is one of the UK’s largest, independent and fastest growing wholesalers to the construction industry. Established in 1972, the company imports and supplies more than 7,000 product lines from around the world to distributors throughout the UK, Ireland and Europe.

The company was founded by a young Tim Midwood, based in a small unit at No. 1 Love Street, Chester. At first, the company concentrated on importing a small range of nylon lock nuts and self-tapping screws, before expanding the range to include drywall screws. In 2002 Simon Midwood, son of the company founder Tim took over the leadership of the company, aged just 26. His mission was simple; to treat each and every customer as an individual and to understand and support their business.

Product Range

The family owned business now provides builders merchants and specialists with a complete range of products for the construction industry. These include screws, fasteners, fixings, nails, tapes, adhesives and building chemicals, building hardware, site protection, security and ironmongery. TIMco also owns and operates the Addax brand of power tool accessories and FirmaHold’s collated nails and fuels.

Under Simon’s leadership today, his continued commitment to providing market-leading products, services and support, known simply as the ‘TIMco Hug’. As a result, this has helped ensure the development of long-established relationships with key partners such as ATF Supplies.
